Interior design fatigue: it’s totally a thing.

That feeling you get when you’ve been living somewhere for so long that your interiors are enough to send you to sleep. If you’ve been feeling more bored than inspired by your abode, it’s time to switch things up. Here are five signs you’re feeling interior design fatigue.

    1. Old as the hills

One sure sign that you’re experiencing a spot of interior design fatigue is that you can’t quite remember where you got that piece of furniture from. In fact, come to think of it, you can’t seem to recall what decade you bought that piece of furniture in? If this sounds familiar, then it’s probably time to invest some new pieces.

    1. What’s the damage?

You’re constantly distracted by the little things, like that scratch on the entertainment unit that keeps catching your eye every time you turn the TV on. Or that bump in the entry console from that time your children thought that skateboarding in the hallway was a good idea. The more dings and dents in your furniture, the less you’re motivated to spend time in your home.

    1. Feeling tired and weary?

Does looking at your furniture make you feel a little drowsy? That’s a clear as crystal sign that it might be time to invest in some new pieces. You should feel comfortable and invigorated in your home, after all, you spend most of your time within its four walls!

    1. A bit overwhelmed

If there are too many things going on in your home, your space probably feels overwhelming. Our first recommendation to all our clients is always to do a thorough declutter.
