Everyone can use a little help when it comes to all things interiors – painting, trades, inspo, the list goes on – even us experts need a little assistance from time to time. That’s why we rely on some trusty apps to get us by. So here are our 5 favourite interior design apps that we just can’t live without. Let the reno begin!

5 Interior Design Apps | BOWERBIRD Interiors

    1. Dulux Colour App

Wanting to give your home a fresh lick of paint, but just can’t settle on white white or egg shell white? We feel your pain. Gone are the days of holding up colour cards till you go cross-eyed because there is a new kid in town – and we’re obsessed! The Dulux Colour app gives you a realistic impression of how your paint project will look in your home before you even lift a brush. All you have to do is upload a photo of your space, select your colour of choice, and preview. That’s it!

    2. Houzz

This app does everything – from inspiration to execution and everything in between, Houzz has you covered. You can browse some kick-ass ideas, find, hire, and collaborate with the best home professionals in the bizz, get advice from the experts, and stay up-to-date with hacks, trends and projects the Houzz team feature regularly. Need we say more?

    3. Measure App (Iphone)

It is so handy having a measuring tape on hand at all times when working on a new project – so it only makes sense to download an app that can do that for you – I mean, when are we seen without our phone these days anyway? The iPhone comes with a measuring app that is great, but there are also so many apps available to download that are just as good. Measuring up a space to know how much material to order or even to see if your dream furniture pieces will fit are things we are doing constantly with this app. It even comes with a level for when you are hanging your art. It doesn’t get much better than that!

    4. Pinterest

Pinterest is your one-stop shop for the ultimate interiors inspo. We could NOT live without this app, it helps us to create mood boards, communicate our vision with our clients and vice versa, get inspired and stay on-trend. We love making a board for any new project to streamline our vision to make the process and final design as clean and clear as possible. Better yet, we’ve also (finally) set up our own Pinterest account! Give us a follow if you want to see some inspo separated by room and lookbook.

    5. IKEA Place

We can’t deny that Ikea has great budget-friendly pieces (who doesn’t love a bargain). That’s why we’re obsessed with the IKEA Place app. You can virtually add Ikea pieces to any room you’re revamping. Combining the latest AR technology and Ikea’s smart home solutions, you can experience Ikea like you never have before. Once you’ve added the perfect selection to your wish list you can purchase the items straight from the app. It’s as easy as 1,2,3.
