Clean lines and an abundance of natural light and space are just a few qualities which make up this Japanese inspired home, designed by award-winning ‘Studio Internationale’. Originally hosting a corner shop and adjacent terrace, this stunning 1898-built building was reconfigured into its present form in 1997 resulting in winning the Belle ‘Home of the Year’ Award at the time. Nestled within a quiet street in Annandale, this incredibly unique property showcases an expansive layout, concrete flooring and exposed block wall dividers, paying homage to the industrial theme.
Timber bedroom floors and joinery gives the space an element of contrast, allowing it to feel homely, warm and liveable. The BOWERBIRD styling team drew inspiration from the Japanese simplicity and earthy finishes by creating a contemporary and minimalist, scheme. A selection of furniture with sleek clean lines, a lively and bright colour palette, pops of greenery and edgy, statement artwork were chosen to blend into the cool, quirky suburb of Annandale.
