Within the Banksia building at Norwest Quarter, the shared amenities take a distinctly calm and considered approach. Designed as a place for residents to gather, relax and unwind, the spaces balance contemporary sophistication with a strong sense of comfort and ease.

A warm, neutral palette of soft creams, natural timber and layered stone finishes creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming and timeless. Throughout the Club Room, carefully selected furnishings add texture and character while maintaining a sense of understated refinement.

Furniture plays a central role in shaping the experience of the space. Curved lounge seating and generously proportioned sofas introduce softness, while sculptural occasional chairs create intimate zones for conversation and relaxation. In the dining area, upholstered dining chairs and a substantial stone-topped table encourage residents to come together, whether for casual meals, celebrations or everyday moments. Each piece was selected to complement the architecture, bringing warmth and comfort to the clean, contemporary interior.

Natural materials continue throughout the space, from the timber detailing and stone surfaces to the textured fabrics and woven finishes. The result is a layered environment that feels both elevated and effortlessly liveable.

Beyond the interiors, the design extends outdoors to the poolside amenities. Woven lounge chairs, soft cushions and simple outdoor tables create relaxed spaces to sit and unwind, while the surrounding landscaping adds texture and softness to the built environment. The outdoor furniture palette mirrors the natural tones used inside, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

What sets the Banksia amenities apart is their sense of ease. The spaces feel open and uncluttered, yet thoughtfully furnished to support a range of activities and ways of living. Whether residents are entertaining, working remotely, relaxing by the pool or enjoying quiet moments throughout the day, the design provides a comfortable and inviting backdrop.

More than just communal facilities, the Banksia shared amenities are an extension of home, designed to enhance everyday living through thoughtful design, quality materials and carefully curated furnishings.

For a contrasting approach to shared amenity design, explore the Lacebark amenities, where BOWERBIRD was also engaged by Mulpha to furnish and style the communal spaces. Bold forms, rich colour accents and contemporary furnishings combine to create a vibrant and engaging resident experience. Read more here
