We first encountered this home through Property Styling, where our role was to bring out its architecture, natural light and proportions for sale.

When the new owners purchased the property, they had already experienced the home through BOWERBIRD. They connected with the way it had been styled and later engaged our Interior Design team to take that feeling further — transforming a temporary styling scheme into a permanent home designed around the way they wanted to live.

It is a transition we know well. Our Property Styling services focus on showing a buyer what a home could be. Our Interior Design team takes that possibility and makes the home personal, bespoke, unique to you and your lifestyle and taste.

For this project, that meant keeping the warmth and ease that first drew the owners in, while developing a richer and more individual material story.

Rather than leaning on obvious coastal cues, the scheme was built around proportion, texture and materiality. Natural timber, warm leather, textured upholstery and sculptural stone form the foundation of the palette, with touches of blue introduced throughout as a subtle nod to the home’s coastal setting.

Natural timber creates consistency from room to room, balanced by more expressive stone, including Calacatta Viola marble, which adds movement and character. Curved silhouettes soften the architecture, while the mix of leather, woven textures, timber and stone gives the interior enough variation to feel layered.

The material palette repeats from room to room without becoming overly matched. Leather, woven textures, timber and stone are layered in different combinations, creating continuity while allowing each space to feel distinct.

The result is a home that feels cohesive, warm and resolved, carrying through the qualities that first made the property so compelling, now reimagined for everyday living.
