Elizabeth Bay Residential Property Styling

Occasionally a property comes along that “wows” our stylists from the very first moment. This luxurious Elizabeth Bay apartment was one of them. Boasting double balconies and breathtaking harbour views, the ultra-modern residence was built for family living, with open lounge and dining areas extending out to sunlit entertainment spaces.

As the homesellers planned for their house to hit the market, they called on the BOWERBIRD team to deliver an (almost) impossibly chic look for the interiors – one that would invite prospective buyers to envision a new life within its walls, and build a strong emotional connection.

Given our years of experience in the property styling game, we knew that high-end listings like these – set in exclusive waterside enclaves with sweeping views – demand equally high sale prices. One way to get prospective buyers dreaming (and bidding!) is to create interiors that frame the home’s most stunning features – in this case, its sparkling harbour backdrop.

It helped that the floor-to-ceiling windows were encased by black trim, and we carried these dark accents throughout the home. Woven into the details of each room – from rich rug patterns, to monochrome line art, striped scatter cushions and houndstooth textured throws – these moody tones created a consistent aesthetic and an undeniable flow. 

It’s these details that often get missed by aspiring and inexperienced interior designers, and they are essential in threading together a ‘complete’ look for a space. A look that will attract eyeballs (even in a tough market) and will get homes sold.

Of all the beautiful elements of this Property Styling, perhaps the most alluring was the combination of our Light, Hues and Moody palettes. Our stylists worked with pared-back neutrals across soft-touch furniture and accessories, and tied in some deeper tones for contrast and depth. 

Some of these pieces made a statement in their own right, such as glossy marble side tables and matte black vases beside a dark dining set.

We weren’t the only ones to walk away impressed by the elevated interiors and the newly-created ambience. The homesellers were excited to share that their apartment sold within weeks!
