This home takes a more elevated approach to coastal living. Rather than relying on familiar coastal cues, the interior was built around shape, colour and finish. Curved furniture softens the architecture, while richer tones and more expressive materials give the home depth and a stronger sense of identity.

The palette stays warm and restrained, but never flat. Soft neutrals are layered with deeper accents, natural timber and moments of colour, creating contrast without losing the calmness of the space.
The furniture selections were considered individually, but always as part of the whole home. Sculptural forms, rounded edges and tactile upholstery create a sense of flow from room to room, while premium finishes bring a more refined quality to the scheme.

Materiality plays an important role throughout. Stone, timber, textured fabrics and polished finishes are used in different combinations, allowing each space to feel distinct while still connected to the broader design.

At BOWERBIRD, we don’t design to one house style. Each project starts with the architecture, the people who live there and the feeling the home needs to hold. Here, that called for something more polished and architectural — relaxed in spirit, but elevated in execution.
