This Gold Coast residence arrived with a strong foundation: modern, contemporary, and unafraid of colour. The brief was to build on what already existed, layering in the finishing touches that would bring warmth, function and a sense of home.
Our focus for the living/dining areas centred on accessories and artwork, the pieces that transform a space from styled to lived-in. Rather than introduce new directions, we worked to strengthen the home’s existing personality. Artwork was selected to echo the pops of colour already present in the furniture, creating visual continuity across living spaces. Each piece was chosen with intention, connecting rooms through tone and texture.

In the bedrooms, the approach shifted. Here, a softer palette was introduced to create calm, restful spaces that offer a gentle counterpoint to the vibrancy of the communal areas. The result is a home that moves between energy and ease, with each room playing its part in a cohesive story.
Outdoor living was central to this project. For the entertaining area, we selected furniture in soft neutrals with subtle green undertones, allowing the pieces to sit effortlessly alongside the surrounding greenery. The goal was seamless connection, furniture that feels like an extension of the landscape rather than a contrast to it.

Poolside, the design stepped into a more playful register. Green accent chairs were chosen to carry the home’s colourful spirit into the exterior, while also responding to the lush backdrop of the backyard. It’s a considered choice that links inside and out, continuing the thread of colour in a way that feels natural and grounded.

Every decision was made to refine rather than reinvent, to enhance what already existed and bring clarity to the home’s character. The finished spaces feel cohesive, functional and expressive, guided by colour, connection and thoughtful restraint.
