Introducing Herald Park. Set on 11.5 acres in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, this modern farmhouse is an architectural masterpiece. Offering views of the surrounding hills and landscaped olive trees, the aim for this new build was to take in the stunning view and bring in natural light through the three-metre-high glass sliding doors and windows.
For this 5-bedroom single-level property, the owners enlisted specialists to create features of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Walking towards the home, visitors wind their way along a tree-lined white limestone driveway leading to a steel front door. Entering through the front door they look across a semi-length Venetian plaster wall with views of the entire space – from gable end glass windows to a stone wall that’s been carried through from the exterior, creating flow and consistency. Other stand-out features include a grand pitched roof, wood-burning fireplace and a glass link connecting the main pavilion with a separate guest wing.
Realising the potential to attract more buyers with our Property Styling service, the owners tapped on BOWERBIRD Interior’s design team to deliver a showstopping look that would elevate the character of this contemporary gem. Our Creative Director took the brief and ran with it, drawing on the architecture of the property and its black fixtures as inspiration for the interior design and finer details.
Our team of stylists did their part, expertly combining materials and textures with moody tones to create a balanced aesthetic throughout the space. Each room was dressed with stand-out pieces such as a luxe cream 3-seater sofa, occasional chairs and statement consoles. In the kitchen, bold barstools contrasted the marble details and gold finishings. With each addition, we were careful to complement the home’s oak floors, concrete hearth and beautiful high ceilings.
In the open dining and lounge area, we placed a sleek wooden table to showcase the pendant light and added monochrome accessories to incorporate the darker tones of our design direction. Occasional bursts of colour and earthy tones from indoor plants, prints and vases made the space pop. The white sheer window furnishings by DIY Blinds were the final touch, completing the look and making the space feel “homely” and warm.
The result? A knockout property ready to sell, with glowing reviews by the owner:
“We engaged BOWERBIRD Interiors purely on their design style and aesthetic. Everything we had seen from past projects on their social media was beautiful and we knew they would be a perfect fit. There was a lot of attention to detail on install day which was amazing. A lot of care and genuine thought was taken into every placement from a vase to a sofa and the end result was incredible!”
This home sold for $7,550,000 within 24 days on the market – a successful campaign we were thrilled to be part of.
