Beyond the obvious
When displaying photographs and prints around your home there are so many creative ways you can hang images outside of the obvious picture frame. These ideas are simple, cost effective and non-permanent so you can change them up as often as you like and are also suitable for tenants that aren’t allowed to drill into their walls to hang heavy frames.
Mount a peg and pinch a photograph, print or even an object to the wall. With trends changing so regularly this is an easy and non-committal way to change up your home.
This simple system only requires a piece of string or wire and pegs. You can have one seamless line or multiple levels of string for a fuller effect.
Using your average clipboard you can mount individual images or create a moodboard by layering complimentary textures.
When hanging a larger print, poster hangers are a stylish way to present them with a vintage touch. For smaller artworks you can use a clip coat hanger for an eclectic look.
Mount them to the wall with Washi Tape which is similar to masking tape, so it’s gentle on the walls. Washi Tape comes in all kinds of amazing colours and patterns to add to the decorative look.
Mount or lean a wire mesh grid to create a statement wall. It works in any room and works on both large and small scales. Use pegs or bulldog clips to hang Polaroids, magazine clippings, notices or memos.
